Kaitlin has a Master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies from DePaul University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from a joint program at The University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University. Kaitlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Michigan.

Kaitlin’s clinical experience includes working in an adult outpatient setting at a hospital that specializes in treating people with mental health, substance abuse, or dual diagnoses. Here she conducted group therapy before going on to a leadership role as an outpatient manager.

Kaitlin works with teens in high school and adults. Kaitlin utilizes both cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy in her practice. Kaitlin also uses a mixture of solution-focused therapy and person-centered therapy to allow a unique perspective to look at not only the here and now, but also the future. Kaitlin refers to herself as a “hands-on” therapist; you will not feel alone in this process. We will work together in a collaborative process to achieve your identified goals and aspirations.

Kaitlin has specialized training in working with folks in the LGBTQIA+ community. As part of the community, she creates a space where people of the LGBTQIA+ community are free to be themselves without judgment.

Kaitlin recently moved back to Michigan, her childhood home, from Texas. She is a proud cat mom of three who enjoys hanging out with family, exploring new restaurants with her fiancé, and continuing to educate herself on a variety of topics.
