Jessica graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Oakland University in 2019, and graduated with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University in the winter of 2023. She is a limited licensed counselor under supervision from Carin Goodrich, MA, LPC.While working as a paraprofessional in a middle school setting it became clear to her that mental health support was beneficial through all phases of life. This has led her to focus her attention on serving the mental health needs of children and teens, though she also sees adults. She believes in meeting her clients where they are at in their process of growth and change, while providing them encouragement and validation to reach their continued goals. Jessica primarily uses a person-centered approach with her clients to help them feel empowered and supported in their mental health journey.
Jessica has had experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults, and understands how to personalize her approach depending on her client’s needs. Jessica has also had experience in working with couples navigating overwhelming challenges. She has worked with those struggling with anxiety, depression,and ADHD. Jessica believes in emphasizing the importance of self-acceptance and self-love while processing the internalized shame that causes so many to struggle. Ultimately, her goal is for her clients to achieve peace, stability and health.
