Caroline enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults using an integrative therapy approach and evidence-based techniques. She has six years of research experience in psychology, child development, and education. As a researcher, Caroline earned her Master of Science in Human Development and Family Science from Ohio State University in 2021. During this time, Caroline found passion in clinical work and went on to earn her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2022.
Caroline has comprehensive training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) from the DBT Institute of Michigan, which informs her practice. Caroline’s therapy style also employs techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
Caroline teaches age-appropriate coping and communication skills to her clients. The family system is complicated, and Caroline works with parents to create a home environment where everyone speaks the same therapeutic language. In accordance with DBT, Caroline hopes to balance validation of client experiences AND work towards meaningful behavioral change.
Caroline works with clients to set goals and address their needs while focusing on their strengths. She is also passionate about social justice and welcomes clients of all identities and backgrounds. She believes that therapy should be creative, collaborative, and fun!
