Therapeutic Biography

I specialize in helping men, women, and couples who experience conflict when communicating or parenting – whether they are together, separated, or divorced – to reduce disagreements and tension in order to have better conversations, connection, and common purpose.

I also help divorcing couples overcome the challenges of separation with better communication, less tension, and more alignment as they create their individual paths.

Helping You Build Healthier Relationships

Relationship work is at the heart of my practice. I work with couples at many different stages—from those who want to strengthen an already solid relationship to couples experiencing disconnection, repetitive conflict, breaches of trust, or significant uncertainty about their future together.

My couples work is grounded in the Gottman Method. Our work together will help you recognize the patterns that keep you stuck while developing crucial relationship skills you can use long after therapy ends. Together, we work on strengthening friendship and connection, communicating needs clearly, managing conflict more effectively, repairing after difficult moments, and rebuilding trust—all with the goal of helping you feel like partners and teammates again.

One of the things I appreciate most about Gottman work is that the goal isn’t to eliminate conflict. Healthy couples disagree. The work is learning how to navigate those differences with greater understanding, respect, and emotional safety—and knowing how to find your way back to each other when things go wrong.

Parenting Through Marriage, Separation, and Divorce

Some of my most meaningful relationship work happens between two people in their roles as parents.

Whether you are happily married, struggling in your relationship, considering separation, actively divorcing, or parenting from two different households, your relationship with your co-parent matters. The form of that relationship may change, but the need to communicate, establish boundaries, make decisions, and show up for your children remains.

I help parents separate the couple relationship from the parenting relationship so they can become more intentional about both. We work on communicating more effectively, reducing unproductive conflict, setting and respecting boundaries, and keeping children from being pulled into adult relationship issues.

When parents are separating or divorced, I help them move toward building a healthier, more sustainable co-parenting relationship.

Sometimes the goal is repairing and strengthening a marriage. Sometimes it is determining whether the relationship can or should continue. And sometimes the work is accepting that the marriage is ending and learning how to become a different kind of family. In each case, I help people move through that transition with greater clarity, dignity, and intention.

My interest in this work is both professional and personal. My own experience transitioning to a two-household family and eventually building a blended family deepened my understanding of just how complicated these relationships can be. It also reinforced my belief that children and parents can do more than simply survive divorce—they can adapt, grow, and build healthy relationships on the other side of it.

For individuals who need practical support outside of therapy, I am also a CDC Certified Divorce Coach. I provide separate coaching services for people contemplating, actively navigating, or recovering from divorce, serving as a sounding board, strategist, and source of support during a time when decisions can feel particularly overwhelming.

For Deep Thinkers and Unique Minds

Relationships are a significant part of my practice, but I also work individually with differently wired minds, young and old. I’m particularly drawn to people who want to understand themselves more deeply. Gifted, neurodivergent, highly sensitive, and creative kids, teens, and adults tend to be my people.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and my Master’s degree in Counseling from Oakland University. I am trained in the Gottman Approach for Couples Therapy, DBT, and ART and hold additional certification in coaching with a specialization in divorce, families, and parenting.

Before becoming the co-owner and Clinical Manager of Beverly Hills Therapy Group, I was head of trading operations for a private capital management company in Birmingham, Michigan. I’ve lived abroad and traveled extensively, and outside of work I’m part of a joyfully chaotic blended family with five adult kids, a dog, and a few backyard chickens.
