Laurie Miller is a seasoned therapist with over 20 years of experience working with individuals and over the last several years has expanded her practice to include couples. She has an undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Madonna University. She has also been an adjunct professor at Oakland Community College where she enjoys working with students and sharing her enthusiasm for psychology.
Her training includes Emotion Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral strategies, and Psychodynamic Theory. Laurie has experience treating adult clients with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
Laurie is invested in each of her clients and committed to their success. She believes that like our physical health, psychological health involves action and awareness. Therapy is a science-based, proven method for changing perspectives, examining harmful thoughts and relational patterns, and can also contribute to making a good life-great!
Laurie is a master’s level Limited Licensed Psychologist, practicing under the supervision of a PhD level psychologist.
