After completing his undergraduate degree in Rabbinical studies, J.J. graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a master’s of science in counseling. In addition to his work in private practice, his work experience includes over 5 years in a school environment as teacher and academic counselor.
J.J. has a passion for and experience in working with adolescents and their parents, individual adults, and couples. As a seasoned academic counselor, he has expertise in working with adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression and issues with anger and motivation. As a Rabbi, J.J. is able to lend a spiritual perspective in his work with teens and couples where desired. His relationship work includes helping each partner learn the skills and strategies needed to gain perspective, acceptance, compromise, trust, and commitment.
